NATIONWIDE CRIMINAL RING BEEN OPERATING IN AIRPORTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY STEALING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF CARSThis is happening at airports all over the country. A car theft ring with international ties has stolen nearly $5 million worth of vehicles from DFW airport, according to a new search warrant obtained by NBC 5. DFW Airport Police say the arrest of the group’s leader last month helped officials unravel the multi-state conspiracy. Last fall, NBC 5 reported on a rise in cars being stolen from DFW airport. At the time, officials told us, “Investigators do believe there is an element of crime rings behind many of the thefts.” Today we received confirmation: a search warrant filed in Tarrant County showed DFW Airport Police say they’ve identified a nationwide crime group stealing vehicles from the airport. The document said police have been investigating the ring based in Houston since last February. “Approximately 14 suspects have been identified…the suspects in this group have stolen approximately 52 cars from DFW, for a total loss of $4.9 million,” an investigator said in the document. “When I checked under my TollTag account, I saw that on Saturday night it was on a tollway in Houston on a Harris County toll road,” Chaz Mady told NBC 5 in November 2023. BIDEN IS CONSIDERING PREEMPTIVE PARDONS FOR OFFICIALS AND ALLIES BEFORE TRUMP TAKES OFFICE
President Joe Biden is weighing whether to issue sweeping pardons for officials and allies who the White House fears could be unjustly targeted by President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, a preemptive move that would be a novel and risky use of the president’s extraordinary constitutional power. The deliberations so far are largely at the level of White House lawyers. But Biden himself has discussed the topic with some senior aides, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity Thursday to discuss the sensitive subject. Pardons are historically afforded to those accused of specific crimes – and usually those who have already been convicted of an offense — but Biden’s team is considering issuing them for those who have not even been investigated, let alone charged. They fear that Trump and his allies, who have boasted of enemies lists and exacting “retribution,” could launch investigations that would be reputationally and financially costly for their targets even if they don’t result in prosecutions. FOREVER YOUNG: PLASTIC SURGERY AND INJECTIONS SOAR IN US, PARTICULARLY AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE
Plastic surgery, often seen as a hallmark of modern medical aesthetics, has roots that delve deep into history. Today's procedures, both surgical and minimal, blossomed with technological advancements and the increase of social acceptance of new techniques to alter appearance. Plastic surgery has morphed through the ages — long before the first Botox injection smoothed a wrinkled brow or eased a headache. For Millennials, what used to be an afterthought later in life, plastic surgery is now a part of their self-care. According to national data, 1.6 million cosmetic surgical procedures were done in 2023. In the U.S., 25.4 million minimally invasive procedures were performed in 2023. Megan is a Registered Nurse and Executive Vice President of Tox & Tonic, a boutique Med Spa specializing in Botox, skin care & vitamin injections.
