Ralph is a handsome, 5 year old shepherd mix. We think he may have some malamute in him due to his size. Ralph does great with dogs of all sizes and has even tested great with cats. He is fully potty trained and non destructive. He prefers to sleep outside at night but will sleep inside if you want him to. He is crate trained but has not needed it at his foster home.
He goes for off leash pack walks with his foster family. He is great off leash and has good recall. He is very food motivated and we recommend not leaving appetizing things on the counter while you are gone.
Ralph would do best in a home with older children. He can also become protective of his home like a typical shepherd. He will need a home with few strangers coming or going. Or a shepherd savvy owner who can help him through his stranger danger. Outside of his home, he’s friendly with everyone he meets.
Ralph has been looking for his right home for several months now. We know there is a perfect family out there for him!
He is neutered, chipped and current on vaccines.

BIDEN'S HHS SECRETARY WARNS AGAINST IMPLICATIONS OF PREEMPTIVE PARDON FOR FAUCI, OTHERS
Biden told USA Today he was still considering preemptive pardons during the final days of his presidency. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra warned against the impact of a preemptive presidential pardon for people like Dr. Anthony Fauci just hours after President Biden said in an interview that he was still considering it. "It sinks my heart to think that we’re going to use the pardon process in a way that will follow the whims of whoever’s in the White House," Becerra, who previously served as California's attorney general before taking his post at HHS, said in an interview with The New York Times on Wednesday. Becerra noted that he was speaking from his legal background as opposed to his position in Biden's Cabinet. "I think we should hold that power, that only a president has, in very high regard," he continued. "Because otherwise it becomes pedestrian, and it’s used anywhere, and I don’t think that should be the case."
