VARENICLINE FOR YOUTH NICOTINE VAPING CESSATION: A RANDOMIZED CLINICAL TRIAL
Electronic cigarette use (vaping) among adolescents and young adults is common. Few treatments have been tested in this population.  In this 12-week randomized clinical trial in 261 treatment-seeking youth, aged 16 to 25 years, continuous abstinence rates in the last month of treatment (51% vs 14%) and at 6-month follow-up (28% vs 7%) were higher in the varenicline group than in the placebo group. Treatment-emergent adverse events did not differ significantly between groups.  Varenicline, when added to brief cessation counseling, is well tolerated and promotes nicotine vaping cessation compared with placebo in youth with addiction to vaped nicotine.   Participants were randomized (1:1:1) to 12 weeks of varenicline titrated to 1 mg twice daily over 7 days (standard titration), weekly counseling, and referral to text messaging vaping cessation support (This is Quitting [TIQ]) (n = 88); identical placebo, weekly counseling, and referral to TIQ (n = 87); or enhanced usual care (referral to TIQ only) (n = 86).

Speaking to reporters before takeoff, the president said that both Israel and Iran had breached the terms of the truce and made clear he was “not pleased” with Israel’s promise to launch retaliatory airstrikes after agreeing to the deal.  “Do not bomb Iran. If you bomb, it will be a serious violation of the ceasefire. Bring the pilots back home now,” he said in a message to Israel, according to Axios reporter Barak Ravid.  The comments come as the Israeli military vowed to carry out “intense” retaliatory strikes on Tehran following ballistic missile attacks from Iran that struck Beersheba on Tuesday morning, killing at least four civilians. In response, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz ordered a “forceful” counteroffensive, targeting what he described as “the heart of Tehran.” Israel’s top military officials framed the action as a response to a “grave violation” of the US-brokered ceasefire and vowed Iran would “pay.”

Russia's former president said that the production of nuclear weapons in Iran will continue.  Russia's former president said that multiple countries are poised to provide Iran with nuclear warheads after the U.S. launched strikes against three Iranian nuclear facilities.  "The enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue," Dmitry Medvedev, now the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, said in a Sunday X post.  "A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads," Medvedev said.

Meet Miss Hazel, she's approximately 46lbs, age around 10 months old - 1 year. We believe she's husky mixed with Norwegian elkhound. So far in foster she's gone potty outside only, crate trained, likes other dogs (especially her age/energy) been to the groomer, currently in a home with cats but not suggested as she likes to agitate them often. Hazel is VERY food motivated, doesn't have a shy bone in her body and absolutely lovesssssss TOYS! Ideal home would have a fenced yard, active, and a good ideal of general silly husky antics. She would be fine with a sibling(s) furry or human! Sorry absolutely no apartments.  
 
Dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated and dewormed.
