Why Immigrants Keep Getting Priority Over Americans? Minnesota just gave us the clearest example yet. Humberto Cancio, conservative columnist, Cuban-American, and co-authors of Gabriel Lock: Bound by Law. (Humberto's son? is David)For years now, Americans have watched a strange, upside-down moral rule take hold in politics: If you’re a citizen, you come last. If you’re a newly arrived immigrant—especially one wrapped in a politically sensitive identity—you go straight to the front of the line. Minnesota is the latest, loudest warning. A billion-dollar fraud exploded—one of the biggest in U.S. history—and instead of asking the obvious questions, state leaders immediately shifted into “cultural sensitivity” mode. They were more terrified of offending a politically powerful Somali immigrant bloc than protecting the people actually funding their government. This is the heart of the crisis: Our politicians fear accusations more than corruption. And citizens are paying for it—literally. This isn’t just Minnesota. It’s national. • Sanctuary cities spend millions shielding illegal immigrants while crime victims—American and immigrant—suffer. • New York converts school gyms into migrant shelters while American kids are pushed aside. • Federal programs fast-track benefits for non-citizens as American families sit on waiting lists. • The border gets billions in processing facilities for illegal immigrants while fentanyl flows into our communities. At every turn, the message is unmistakable: Foreign nationals are protected. Citizens are managed. And Americans are supposed to smile politely while absorbing the consequences. *** Bound by Law chronicles the story of a young lawyer who chooses a forced resignation and leaves the state attorney’s office. At his father’s civil law firm, he represents the industrious, salt of the earth people trying to build honest lives on the other side of Miami Vice. He is a common man, working uncommon cases, and practicing law in the Miami of the 80s, a city branded by cocaine cowboys, and an exploding migrant population. Armed with his smarts, morals and faith, he battles for his clientele, leading him to discover that his duties to his clients and the search for truth are often at odds. Justice becomes more than black or white, and results not only affect the clients’ lives, but his own. PLUG BOOK: Gabriel Lock: Bound by Law BIO: D. &. H.
