President Joe Biden announced on X yesterday (Sunday) that he is dropping out of the 2024 race for the White House. His announcement has sent shockwaves through the political landscape and comes after weeks of escalating pressure from the Democratic Party. The 81-year old president has faced fierce questions about whether he could serve another four years in office after a difficult debate performance with former president Donald Trump. Following his announcement, the president endorsed vice president Kamala Harris to replace him. In order to win the nomination, Harris must secure the votes of delegates and pick a running mate within the next few weeks. If elected, Harris would be the first woman and first person of South Asian descent to be president. We chat with Presley a former National Defense Fellow at the Ronald Reagan Institute and the Alexander Hamilton Society. She received her Masters n American Government from Georgetown University and is a graduate of the USC's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism

“Stand Tall with Dave Brown” An Oregon high school girls tennis coach resigned this week in protest of transgender student-athletes being allowed to compete with cisgendered players. Dave Brown, who managed Canby High School’s varsity team, asserted he would no longer support biologically male students competing with biologically female athletes. Riley Gaines, a former University of Kentucky swimmer who has since become a women's sports advocate, cheered Brown’s decision.
