However, a temporary glitch allowed customers to withdraw more substantial amounts than typically allowed before a check clears. Now the bank is suing four customers who allegedly owe the bank nearly $662,000, according to four lawsuits JPMorgan Chase Bank, Chase's parent company, filed Monday in three federal courts.
TOPIC 2- REPUBLICANS ASK US SUPREME COURT TO BLOCK PENNSYLVANIA PROVISIONAL BALLOTS DECISION
Republicans asked the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday to block a judicial decision from Pennsylvania requiring the counting of provisional ballots cast by voters who make mistakes on their mail-in ballots, potentially affecting thousands of votes in the Nov. 5 presidential election. The Republican National Committee and Republican Party of Pennsylvania asked the justices to put on hold the Oct. 23 Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling in favor of two Butler County voters who sought to have their provisional ballots counted after their mail-in ballots were rejected during that state's primary election for lacking secrecy envelopes.
TOPIC 3- TEXAS PROSECUTORS SAY A MAN SUSPECTED IN THE KILLING OF A CO-WORKER DID IT BECAUSE SHE TOOK “LONG BREAKS.”
Texas authorities say that a man suspected of a recent homicide was obsessed with the coworker he killed, and claimed that her "long breaks" was a main reason for the murder. Travis Merrill, 51, was arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his coworker Tamhara Collazo at her desk on Thursday. The two both worked at an Allegiance Trucks office in Lewisville, which is roughly 30 miles north of Dallas. Police say that Merrill opened fire on Thursday afternoon after the victim came back from a lunch break. She was rushed to a hospital, but died from her injuries.
