Claire Lynn Announces Campaign for Oregon House District 9
Following State Representative Boomer Wright’s announcement that he will not seek re-election, Claire Lynn announced today that she is running for State Representative for House District 9, which encompasses Western Lane County and Florence, a portion of Douglas County that includes Reedsport, and Coos Bay/North Bend through Charleston.
Claire is a seventh generation Oregonian who grew up on the North Fork of the Siuslaw River helping with her family’s logging business and cow‑calf operation. She grew up with a love for the outdoors, spending every fall hunting and fishing with her Dad.
Claire is a lifelong Republican. She has deep experience fighting for common sense, conservative values from Washington, D.C. to her current job in the Oregon Legislature. She has helped defend Oregon’s natural resource industries, worked to protect our second amendment rights, and pushed back against extreme first in-the-nation policies. Recently, Claire volunteered with the “No Tax Oregon” grassroots effort working to put Governor Kotek's $4.3 billion transportation tax on the ballot to give voters a voice.
Claire's campaign has already won key endorsements, including:
-
Oregon Right to Life PAC
- Oregon Representative Ed Diehl
-
State Senator & 2022 Republican Nominee for Governor Christine Drazan
-
Lane County Commissioner Ryan Ceniga, and
-
Florence Mayor Rob Ward
